As a teacher, nothing exudes even more pride than watching my students shine brilliantly. My adult student first came to me as a fresh beginner circa August 2019. We began learning the language of music, starting from simple notes and rhythms before progressing to short pieces, mastering the technique of strong coordination amongst fingers and between hands.
Today, she was thrilled to share with me the launch of her pet project - a cover of the Chinese song, 大鱼 － translated as "Big Fish". This composition was part of a Chinese anime's soundtrack and was popularised by singer 周深 (Zhou Shen).
The sheer amount of pride is indescribable. Well done, girl!
