Song Without Words: The Entertainer

My student, M, loved "The Entertainer" so much she excitedly told me she memorized the entire piece, all 5 pages of it. I popped up in the video once to flip for her as she was absolutely familiar with the first page. Her memorization is fantastic, but the score stays to buffer any unexpected lapses in memory during the video recording.

Birthed in 1902, this piece was the brainchild of Scott Joplin who was the first classically trained black composer to become a household name in America.
